concert report

I went to a concert about two weeks ago and want to share my thoughts.
The concert itself was great but the audience made me remember so much of my past that I have tried to put away.
I saw so much of my 16 year old self in the teens across the way.
They had undoubtedly put on their favorite alt looking outfits to attend a concert of their favorite band that hardly anybody from their jr high has heard of.
Hands were shoved in pockets as they anxiously looked around at the crowd deciphering what was cool. They swayed to the music and sang along at the top of their lungs not caring who was listening, or else thinking they were hot shih knowing all the words and letting everybody else know it too. Best of all, the older brother lingering behind the dark haired girl, not knowing a thing about who the people playing are. This is me, five years ago but I am coming to terms with the fact that I am still that way.
