2K11 in review

Some of y'all might have been expecting this and maybe others were praying for this to not happen but what the fuh....I'll do it....its the 2nd annual year in review segment of my blog.
Let me start off by saying that this year blew.........my mind! it was just amazing.
I went to school, I sorta worked, I ate out....a lot....
I got freckles, and lost freckles.
I made friends, and lost friends,
and picked up many hobbies.........
I rediscovered myself through over a year of saliva sobriety.
I conquered Brigham Young's religion classes.
I can still kill it in mario kart.
and I haven't changed the background on my computer this entire year.
I stopped sleeping in twin size beds all together.
I gained 3 pounds...............................inconsolable.
You name a book and I probably read it this year,
but was Tom Cruise in all the mission impossibles?
I started a band named Thayne Fagg.....we haven't had band practice yet.
I googled myself once.
I have been working on my river dancing.
Heaven Forbid!
The question is...What is in store for 2k12......?
a sixth pair of doc martens?
a shot at love on a VH1 tv show?
an upgrade to california king size bed?
a trip to the beach that lasts more than 45 minutes?
who the hell knows....the only thing penciled in on my calendar is graduation from college.
DAMN...this girl is growing up.

Rode my girls down the slopes on the sunniest ski day ever...goggle burn. Rode em again over the weekend in the best powder day I have possibly ever had.
Friday: what more can I say than Pace's coke and a 2o minute romance at the W lounge.

It is amazing how incredibly long 3 and a half months have been. When it really is just a drop in the bucket of time. I've had bad days and worse days. When my eldest brother made that careless wager on going off Coke till my birthday, I said yes I can without giving it a thought. I can and I will . It didn't matter, what's the big deal. I'd prove them wrong. I'm not addicted. I'm not dependant. I don't need it. My closest family didn't believe in me. Nonsense, I got this. The first day, pocket change. Day 2 something was noticeably missing but I made it through. Day 3 came the headaches. Day 4 the sleep loss. Day 5 the nose bleeds. Day 6 the black outs. Day 7....It didn't matter what day it was. By then I had lost all concept of time. Coke is a choice, a choice to live. A choice to thrive. A choice to enjoy a meal, dinner ain't the same without an ice cold Coca Cola. Wanna go to a movie, not with out my good friend Coke. My family looked at it as self help, more like self destruction. But out of this black hole came the fact that I don't depend on Coke, I rely on it. It's a companion. A friend that's always good to have around. Fourteen hours to go and I can almost taste it. I plan on breaking my fast in great fashion. Where else but Pace's. Where THE Coke is born and delivered to me viva red cup. The rest of the day will be binging on the liquid that is my life blood. I should be the first to know that posting things that are personal on a blog is a bad idea...but seriously, I have a whole of 7 followers and maybe a total of 15 checkers, and besides...my life is an open book anyways right? So I'll break my rules about blogging and I'll write more than a paragraph and I'll get personal but this is only because it is 12:31 AM Christmas Eve at my parents house in Bountiful and I am just not that tired.
This year was a trip.
It was the year two thousand and ten but really it was two thousand and TEEN.
Do you remember when you were a teenager and all your emotions were either completely muted or extremely amplified? This = my year.
Growing up through another 365 days was rough, I mean gosh damnit I didn't get asked to prom all over again and gosh damnit there was another breakup because like I totally wasn't going to bail on the football game to hang out with him alone for yet another night. My parents were more strict on my 10:30 curfew because they caught me sneaking out or lying about where I was. My last crush didn't like me back and the one before him liked the head cheerleader at the exact same time (hello? I can't compete with that bitch!) The girls at school look down on my scandy apparel and think that I am some kinda ho but really girls...its been about 5 months since I have kissed anybody, and it was just a kiss and I can promise you it wasn't me who gave him herpes of the lip.
I was screaming to be seen while basking in my successes and dying to hide when failure struck yet again. Whilst all year I was strong with the dudes ultimately it all came down to the girls (you know, the ones who will go shopping or skip home room to go get nails done with you) I mean yes! the world was mine! I got a mother flippin drivers license and I can go places! But damn, I didn't get a car for my 16th birthday. Stranded. The continual struggle of identity crisis (bangs, no bangs, bangs) persisted all year long. Which hair style makes me look older? So you know, I can sneak into Area 51 with a fake ID and pass as 18 with flying colors. I was confident enough in myself to moon some stranger out of a moving car one day and so much of a basket case the other to the point of inability to speak to a bearded stranger at a party. I lost some bets and won some too. It was all about me even when it wasn't.
So just when I thought I was getting past the tumultuous years of my life I look back on two thousand and teen and realize, though I have grown and learned much, I am still a little girl. It was a damn fine year, but it also effin sucked.
I'll be surprised if I keep this post up. I can see myself waking up tomorrow morning and regret showing vulnerability...I mean there are people out there who find it shocked that Hillah da Killah gets self conscious so feast your eyes.

I went to a concert about two weeks ago and want to share my thoughts.
The concert itself was great but the audience made me remember so much of my past that I have tried to put away.
I saw so much of my 16 year old self in the teens across the way.
They had undoubtedly put on their favorite alt looking outfits to attend a concert of their favorite band that hardly anybody from their jr high has heard of.
Hands were shoved in pockets as they anxiously looked around at the crowd deciphering what was cool. They swayed to the music and sang along at the top of their lungs not caring who was listening, or else thinking they were hot shih knowing all the words and letting everybody else know it too. Best of all, the older brother lingering behind the dark haired girl, not knowing a thing about who the people playing are. This is me, five years ago but I am coming to terms with the fact that I am still that way.

Sometimes when I am walking on campus I ask myself "Is this place for real?" every conversation that occurs is completely ridiculous, it makes me feel like I am living in a dream.
Example:
girl 1: "scott from ward prayer who was spotlighted was funny, like way funny, really funny, and cute"
girl 2: "yeah i thought he was funny, funny, kind of way funny"
girl 1: "yeah funny, cute"
and just the fact that both girls are practically screaming so that everybody on campus can hear how cute and funny this scott character is........? Puh-leeeez. Everybody on campus has some ward prayer crush or boy/girl drama about somebody in their ward. Its like one massive BYU bubble. About March time I start thinking that I am dreaming a bad dream.
